Who applies the TTG label?

• The TTG label can only be credibly applied by the person who is making the Trust Test Guarantee about one of their own images.

In other words, the TTG label is always applied only to one’s own photographs — never to someone else’s.

• Viewers should disregard the TTG label anytime they don’t see, or trust, the name of the person who is making the Guarantee.

What name can be used?

• TTG photographers can use whatever name they want when attaching the TTG label.

That includes their real name, their nickname, or any other name they want to use to build their credibility

• To minimize confusion, TTG photographers may want to use a unique online identity (“UOI”) — a name that no one else in the world can have.

Two examples of UOIs are the photographer’s username on social-media and the URL of the photographer’s own website

• Photographers should note that TTG-ready publishers are free to reject UOIs that they find problematic.
