studio photographs

Photographs made in studio conditions (including still-lifes and other such set-up photographs) are just as eligible as are any other photographs to be checked against the Trust Test.

“Studio photographs” are listed among the kinds of photographs that are not well-suited to TTG because the clientele and audience for professional studio photographs often expect a level of perfection that is most easily obtained through non-TTG-compatible post-exposure changes. (But there are plenty of exceptions; see FAQ #413.)

However,

for any set-up/studio photographs to be eligible to qualify as TTG, as per P8 all viewers have to be made aware of the controlled conditions, either visually or with the TTG-IC version of the label.
