“Analog photography” is often used interchangeably with “film photography” on this website to describe “non-digital” photography.

Neither the term “analog” nor the term “film” is a perfect description of all “non-digital” photography, but they are the two most-widely used terms at present so this website follows public convention.

If and when a term for non-digital photography becomes more widely used than “analog,” this website will begin using that new term.
