This question is a reference to the choice between optimizing “appearance” vs. optimizing “trustworthiness.”

  • A. What if for me “the appearance of the final image” is more important than the picture’s “trustworthiness”?

That’s fine; TTG was never meant for every photographer or every photograph, and that realization just means TTG is not for you.

TTG never puts any limits on what photographers do to their own photos.

Each photographer who puts photos before the wider public gets to determine “what they want to be known for” — whether they use AI-GC or not, whether they decide to meet TTG or not.

Use of TTG is always completely voluntary and optional.
Since each person applies the TTG label only to their own photographs — never to anyone else’s — those who have no need for TTG can easily ignore it.

  • B. There’s no pressure or urgency; TTG will always be there

    • Any photographer who decides that TTG isn’t suited for them never need bother with it; no one else will be affected by that decision.

    • Many photographers make both TTG and non-TTG photos — no one need limit themselves to just one kind or the other — and anyone who wishes can label their photos that are TTG-qualified.

    • No photographer has to commit one way or the other for life. TTG will always be there, so a photographer who has no use for TTG now can always start using it sometime in the future.
