1605. Does P6 disqualify stereoscopic and 3D images?

Yes, although single frames from such images may be eligible to qualify as TTG.

P6 disqualifies any image that is not “a single, fixed, still photograph that looks the same to all viewers, capable of being printed such that the result could be viewed . . . at any angle.”

So there would be no way to have an image meet P6 that still provides the “combined” effect that the viewer of stereoscopic and 3D images sees.

However, the individual components of many stereoscopic and 3D images can be eligible to qualify as TTG.

Each of the two photos in a Victorian stereoscope could be eligible, for example, if the photographer is still alive to make the Guarantee.
